Epic Post 2013

So I'm a baaaaad blogger......it's been a while....a sad long while! Especially since one of the last times I blogged I promised I would be back to it and well.... epic fail.... so I have a lot of time to make up for!

I will try to blog a bit more and I will try to get back into being more creative with my cooking and baking. I realise I let this go last year when I became busier with work, and although I did make some fab food, and cook some new recipes I failed to share the delightfulness with you lovely folk!

So to make up for it here is some of what happened between the last post and now...I'll post the recipes if I can find or remember them otherwise please enjoy the drool-worthy photos below! (also I wrote this blog mostly while watching Flight of the Navigator!!)

Autumn Brownies

Summer is out the window and autumn is knocking at my door!

When I think of autumn I think of falling leaves, cooler weather, but mostly I think about autumnal food! Squash, pumpkin, apple pie, soups, currys! Food that sticks to the bones and keeps you warm and cosy!

I've had a few cans of Libby's Pumpkin Puree hidden in the cupboard for some time now. I don't know if it's just me, but I have a heck of a time finding it in the UK! The one shop I could find it in, is in a city I no longer live in, nooooooo. Peckhams (mainly based in Scotland) was the one and only place I could find cans of pumpkin puree, so suffice to say I use them sparingly. But since it's autumn and autumn calls for pumpkin it was time (also, I was set a challenge by a friend on facebook which finally spurred me on to open one of the cans).

Birthday Brownie Pecan Pie

Can someone tell me if it's a sign of a good cook, or a bad one that I've already burned my hand twice on the oven this week??? Or maybe just an overzealous, not paying particular attention to the oven cook? You be the judge!

It's been a while, I know, but with my birthday coming up tomorrow I decided to do some baking and make myself this yummy recipe that I found on Bakeralla

So here it goes!  Check out the recipe below. I also didn't have frozen pie shells so I just used the sweet pastry cases off the shelf.
